Malarkey has rolled out a few exciting changes. First they have extended the non prorated portion of the warranty on the Vista shingle. It was previously 12 years and now boasts 15 years of non prorated protection against shingle defects.

Another huge development is their new and improved workmanship warranty that can be offered by Emerald Premium Contractors. They now provide  25 year workmanship coverage with their Emerald Premium system warranty. That’s a massive upgrade and means that even if the installer makes a mistake Malarkey will cover the replacement of the roof 100% for 25 years. They now have a warranty program that parallels other National leading brands. 

GAF has rolled out a ton of changes! In 2022 they introduced their enlarged nail zone on the Timberline HDZ shingle. This came with an unlimited wind warranty, that’s crazy! They also rolled out their Stainguard Plus algae block. It’s a special coated granule that releases the algae block over time and keeps continual protection covering the shingles. GAF increased their algae warranty to 25 years on the Timberline HDZ shingle.

Timberline Ultra HDZ has also received an upgrade! GAF wanted to provide an upgrade and make this premium designer shingle accessible to more families. They removed some of the asphalt and weight of the shingle but added even more Stainguard Plus to the product so it carries a 30 year algae block warranty. The new version of the Ultra also boasts an enhanced duel shadow line that makes the shingle look thicker and more dimensional.
