During strong rains, the process should be able to withstand leaking. Adopting suitable construction practices helps ensure that terraces are waterproofed effectively. There must be no standing water on the roof. The fundamental purpose of terrace or roof waterproofing is to withstand hydrostatic pressure caused by moisture in a liquid condition. These problems could be easily solved with the use of waterproofing membranes. Plastic, rubber, coated fabric materials, or asphalt sheets can all be used to create these membranes. Water cannot penetrate the foundation, roof, walls, basements, buildings, or other structures if these are installed.

The concept of waterproofing your basement is focused on making sure that no water, condensation, or even moisture can enter your basement. It basically makes your basement totally impermeable.
